In this course, students learn about the various parts of the computer, how they work together, and how they can manipulate them to keep data safe. Students are introduced to the tools, technologies, and methods that will help protect them from an attack and discover the many opportunities in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity.
If you are like most people you have data scattered on multiple devices (computers, tablets, smartphones, etc) and across multiple online accounts (email, social media, and others). How can you protect your data on your own networks and on public networks. You will learn basic techniques for interacting online and making sure your data is as secure as possible.

One of my favorite classes I’ve done at NorthStar was Public Speaking…The information was excellent and easy to understand…all [the tasks were] beneficial and relevant to the actual writing, research, outlining, and giving of a speech.
