DC AP® Psychology

Description:

AP® Psychology is an introductory college-level psychology course. Students cultivate their understanding of the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental processes through inquiry-based investigations as they explore concepts like the biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, learning and cognition, motivation, developmental psychology, testing and individual differences, treatment of abnormal behavior, and social psychology. Throughout these units, a Biblical framework is used to understand human behavior and thinking.

Special Notes:

The dual credit honors track includes a deeper focus on critical thinking and analytical skills by providing students with more challenging problems and assignments comparable to what they would see at the university level. These elements will also prepare students to be successful in future upper-level and AP® courses.

The Dual Credit fee for CCU is included in the fee for this course.

Learning about the brain helped me realize and understand that everyone has a different pov on things and that can really cause conflict. I known how to respond to people in a way where we can both understand each other.

I enjoyed how this course had many different ways of teaching a lesson and it was not the typical class where we only read a book and answer questions.

I really liked the research articles because I learn a lot while I was reading I also enjoyed the videos that the teacher did because I you understood the concepts easily.
