Elementary Create Art 1
Description:
This one semester course is designed specifically for elementary students starting out in art. Students will explore a variety of artistic concepts and apply them to their own work. Some art history will be integrated into the various units of study. Students will explore drawing, painting, and multimedia techniques in a studio approach. Weekly application projects will be completed, which introduce a variety of materials and expressive approaches to art.
Special Notes:
Students will need access to a printer and a scanner, scanner app or digital camera in order to submit work for the teacher to review.

Do you know what? When we are creative, we reflect God’s role as the ultimate Creator in our own small way. Creativity is a key part of making art and it is something you’ll get to experience in this class! This class connects art-making to everyday experience while giving students an opportunity to further develop artistic skills. This class uses a variety of materials in order to explore drawing, painting, and mixed media projects. If you’re ready to be creative, grab your materials and prepare to begin your art-making journey in this class!
