AP® Spanish Language and Culture A

The online Spanish 500 AP® Spanish Language and Culture course challenges students to deepen their Spanish proficiency while exploring the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world.

Students will prepare for the AP® exam by completing assignments such as oral presentations, reflective essays, and simulated conversations. The course teaches language structures in context and focuses on the development of fluency to convey meaning. Students will explore culture in both contemporary and historical contexts to develop an awareness of different cultures. In addition, students participate in a forum where they are able to share their own opinions and comments about various topics and comment on other students´ posts. The course also makes great use of the College Board resources for updated and current material.

Are you passionate about the Spanish language and its cultural diversity? Would you like to refine your Spanish communication and writing skills while earning university credit? If so, the AP® Spanish Language and Culture course may be the perfect choice for you.

This course will take you beyond grammar and vocabulary, immersing you in several authentic texts and discussions on challenging global issues. You will explore a variety of Hispanic cultures from different angles and perspectives. Through immersion of literature and other resources, you will develop your linguistic abilities and critical thinking skills in Spanish.

Additionally, in this course, we will examine the Spanish-speaking world in the light of God’s truth. Mastering Spanish will not only open doors for you, but it will also allow you to view life from a faith-based perspective.

While the course is challenging, your preparation for the AP® Spanish Language and Culture exam will be vital for your academic and professional future. If you are ready to refine your Spanish while deepening your understanding of Hispanic culture from a Christian perspective, this course is for you.
