Video tutorials (available with the eText or through digital access) will accompany each lesson. Graphing calculators are also introduced.
Access to a scanner or digital camera is necessary for this course as students will be required to submit work on assignments frequently throughout the semester/year. Usage of a graphing calculator is also a requirement in this course. Only the TI-84 family is supported by our instructors.
Credit recovery courses are only available to students who provide evidence of failing a course at NSA or any other school. Credit recovery courses cannot be taken for credit if evidence of previous failure of the course is not provided to the NSA office during the registration/enrollment process.
From the Teacher
Have you taken Algebra 1 before but did not do so well that first time through? Are you in need of recovering a missing Algebra 1 credit but do not have the time to devote a whole other year to the course? Then our Algebra 1 Credit Recovery course may be the course for you. This course is a fast paced course. Instead of following the traditional 18 week course path, this course is more condensed allowing students to test out of concepts that they have already mastered so that they can spend time focusing on the concepts that they did not master the first time they took Algebra 1. Guided by a caring and certified math teacher, students are expected to complete our credit recovery courses in 8 weeks or less, making these the perfect courses for recovering missing credits in order to graduate.
