From the Teacher

Did you know that McDonald’s serves hamburgers in S.E. Asia have black hamburger buns!!! How cool is that! They might also serve sushi and rice in some areas of the world as well. But you will never see Mc Donald’s serving those type of foods in America, but it is very popular in other parts of the world.

Have you ever thought about what “business is?” What do you mean~ “what is business? Of course we know what business is… right? You offer a product or service and someone buys it, that’s business! But just suppose you live in one country and you would like to offer your services or products in another country, can’t you just start doing business in that country?

The answer is no! It is not that simple, it would be wonderful if it was that easy but there are many, many hurdles to jump through before you can even make that first business transactions in another country.

My class International Business will explore the complexities of conducting business worldwide. We will explore everything from finances, trade relations, legal agreements, global organizations and regional integration. We will gain a greater understanding in how a country’s political stability and culture will influence how you conduct business in their country. Last we will look at the logistics and marketing you might have from one country to the next.

I hope to see you see in my International Business Class!
