This course is designed to help students develop a regular exercise program and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This course will focus on fitness fundamentals, with intentional focus on running including training schedules for all levels of runners and strength training with resistance band work. Students will be expected to maintain a consistent weekly schedule and submit workout logs detailing their exercise. Access to weights or resistance bands is required for this course. Resistance bands may be obtained through the school's bookstore. *A weekly log must be submitted for 18 weeks, so sufficient time must be allowed for this course.

Online Physical Education? How does that even work? Do those two things even go together? Well NorthStar Academy has figured this out! This class is not your traditional sports focused PE. It works more like a personal training program to help you meet your physical education goals. You will be required to submit a log sheet that includes your workouts from each week. This could include biking, swimming, jogging, dancing, team sports such as soccer, basketball, tennis, and much more. These are all great ways to meet the requirements and move yourself toward better fitness while achieving a great grade!
