World Geography
Description:
(Credit for this course can be applied to the 1.0 credit graduation requirement for world studies.)
This course is designed to facilitate student growth in understanding physical and human geography on a global scale. Students will consider topics within a Biblical framework that encompasses salvation history. Various texts, videos, and other sources are analyzed to explain geographical phenomena. Students will create projects that apply geographical concepts or propose solutions to problems in geography.
FROM THE TEACHER
World geography includes maps, but it is so much more than that. Our world and physical environment form the stage on which humanity has lived and acted since creation. We can’t make wise decisions today without understanding geography. The only way to deeply understand geography is to ground it solidly on the Bible. After you take World Geography, you will possess the deep understanding to promote Biblical solutions for today’s global challenges. Sign up for world geography, and I will see you in class.
