Intermediate Drawing
Description:
In this course, students will build upon the skills they learned in DRAW101. Students will continue to explore drawing techniques with a focus on figure and narrative drawing. Projects in the course will include portraits, animal drawings, and illustration. Students will challenge themselves with advanced drawing techniques and exploration of a variety of mediums including ink, charcoal, and oil pastels.
FROM THE TEACHER
By the end of this course, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to move beyond stick figures and create detailed, realistic drawings! You’ll learn a proportional formula for accurately drawing the human body, faces, and hands, and you’ll refine your figure drawing skills through a variety of engaging projects, including story illustrations.
This course focuses on realism, which helps you create artwork that looks true to life. You’ll explore a range of exciting drawing techniques using charcoal, ink, and oil pastels. In addition to drawing people and reflecting on the beauty of how man is made in the image of God, you’ll also have opportunities to capture the wonder of nature through a few projects.
