In this course, students will examine various fields within health sciences, including pharmaceutical services, clinical medicine, and biotechnology. Student will explore the importance of diagnostics and research in the identification and treatment of diseases. The course presents information and terminology for the health sciences and examines the contributions of different health science areas. Understanding the different stages of the human life span, how vital signs are measured, and the aspects of preventative medicine are just of few of the topics that will stimulate student interest. Upon completion of this course you will have a firm grip on the major health issues facing the world, and you will be able to recognize them as they move through your life.
