Description:
In this course, students learn a coding language which allows them transform their video game ideas into reality. A reflection of how God spoke and transformed nothingness into our wondrous universe in Genesis 1, coding is a way to turn ideas into reality through computer language. Students will learn how to build a game from the ground up, gaining the skills necessary to help support ministries such as their local church or relief organizations.
Special Notes:
The program language used in this course is Scratch.
FROM THE TEACHER
Have you ever wanted to design your own video game? Now is your chance! Intro to Game Design is an excellent introduction to the skill of computer coding. In this course you will learn how to think sequentially, work on your problem-solving skills, and how to brainstorm and plan out a final project of your own creation! While you may be coding for the purpose of creating a game, the skills that you will learn and strengthen will be highly sought after when you advance in school and enter the work world.
