Education continuity: With online school, your children can continue their education no matter where you are located. This allows them to maintain continuity in their education and avoid the academic gaps that can occur when switching schools. NorthStar offers a full academic diploma-granting program for grades 4-12.

Variety of course options: On the field, there is rarely access to quality, affordable education, making it hard to find an option that will provide an abundance of different courses to choose from. NorthStar offers over 200 courses in all core subjects and electives, many of those being honors and AP level. This can be beneficial for missionary students who need higher-level material or specific courses for their post-graduation plans.

Flexibility:  Missionary families can often have a non-traditional schedule, with day–to–day ministry, frequent travels, and moving, so a flexible schedule can be beneficial for your student’s education. Your child can learn at his or her own pace and on his or her own schedule. At NorthStar, students are allotted up to 52 weeks to complete a yearlong course, which is 36 weeks of coursework, and 26 weeks to complete a semester course, which is 18 weeks of coursework.
