Bethany Walker

Curriculum Director

My name is Bethany Walker. I count it an honor to work with author-teachers and an amazing group of curriculum developers to create authentic courses built on the foundation of a biblical worldview for NorthStar Academy.

I come to NorthStar with a global perspective having lived and taught overseas for 11 years and in public schools in the United States for 10 years. I love working with students, families, and teachers who are around the world and am excited to be in partnership with NorthStar in serving students.

Experience

11 years teaching high school and elementary in public school

10 years teaching elementary, middle school and high school English Language Arts overseas

With NSA since 2017

Qualification

BS in Elementary and Spanish Education from Bowling Green State University, Ohio

MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from University of Findlay, Ohio

MA in Curriculum and Instruction as a Reading Specialist from Virginia Polytechnic University

Certification

Virginia in Elementary Education PreK-6, Spanish K-12, ESL K-12 and Reading Specialist K-12, ACSI in Administration
