Rebecca McAllister

Hello and welcome to Northstar! I’m Rebecca McAllister and I will be teaching in the social studies department this year.

My family and I live in Ohio and I enjoy reading, journalling, and hiking in my free time. What I enjoy most about social studies is the exploration of diverse and unique people and places all around the world. I also enjoy being able to use what we know about the past to understand what’s going on in the present day.

Experience

Began working at Northstar in 2017.

2001-2005, 2012-2017 (9 years as a social studies and language arts instructor at Gilead Christian School, Mount Gilead Ohio)

Qualification

B.A. in Social Studies/International Affairs from Malone University

M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University

Certification

State of Ohio Resident Educator in Social Studies

ACSI in Social Studies and Communication
