Students will apply scientific ideas learned as they design a game and build models and projects related to cellular respiration, motion, energy, and the environment.

This course has a lab component.

FROM THE TEACHER

Do you enjoy doing experiments? Then Physical Science is the course for you. This class introduces the disciplines of chemistry, physics, and biology through many hands-on activities, creative projects, and experiments using household materials to help you understand the amazing processes that God has put in place to make creation function as it does. Have you ever wondered how hummingbirds eat? Do you know why some chemicals create colorful explosions? Can you build a Rube Goldberg device?

Examine a few elements, identify some forces, encourage good environmental habits, and we’ll discover some amazing animal relationships!

If there are books and materials for this course, they can be purchased from our Online Bookstore.

Student Feedback

I thought it was well organized with the set up.

What I value the most about NSA is how organized it is and how much I have learned. The types of assignments I found most beneficial were the projects you had us do. I really enjoyed this class.

This was one of my favorite classes so far! I enjoyed it very much.
