My name is Karen Thorne. I teach German and Spanish here at NorthStar. I homeschooled my own children for many years and I also taught in the classroom. I was a little nervous about using the technology to work with students online, but the faculty and staff here at NorthStar have been wonderfully helpful and patient. Learning a foreign language exercises your brain and gives you insight into another culture.
