FROM THE TEACHER

The best part about studying history isn’t memorizing names and dates. The best part about studying history is seeing how what has happened in the past relates to our lives today! We can learn so much from studying the people, cultures, and events of the past and applying those lessons to what’s happening in our world right now. This class will cover the history of the world from the Middle Ages to the modern day, and touch on a variety of topics: from world religions to world wars, sports to technology, and everything in between. Throughout the course, we will analyze human behavior throughout history from a Biblical lens to move forward in our own lives as better global citizens!

The NSA Live Program is a really great opportunity to get to know your teacher and your classmates better! We meet for class weekly and review the week’s material as well as study for upcoming assessments. We pray together and interact with discussion questions. We often view video clips together and discuss them, and sometimes we even take virtual field trips! I would be very pleased for any interested student to join us as we journey through World History together!

If there are books and materials for this course, they can be purchased from our Online Bookstore.

Student Feedback

What I really enjoy for this class was that because there is so much information that we learn during the week that actually remembering it all can be quite difficult but with the live class it will reinforce any concepts that hasn’t quite made it yet.

This course was amazing, there was a good balance of homework, where was a lot of class participation, and it was easy to voice your opinions.

This is my first year with Northstar and I seriously like the format. It’s significantly better than any curriculum I’ve done before.
